practical strategies & tools for your mental-physical wellbeing in schools programme

I treat the work that I do with schools and students with the same passion, knowledge and capabilities that you do as teachers. My aim is to empower educators and students either together or separately.  My unique approach is in bridging the fields of somatic embodiment yoga meditation mindfulness (to become aware and to be present) for social-emotional learning to cultivate lifelong wellbeing in young people and adults alike. My ambition is to always leave individuals with the ability to support themselves with the tools & strategy that work best for them.

I have developed specialist somatic embodiment yoga mindfulness meditation courses and programmes for schools and schoolchildren (7 to 18 years old) adapted to suit different age groups, needs and experience, especially designed to respond to the needs of people  who may struggle to much more authentic to themselves.

I offer a safe, protected, playful and therapeutic environment where your staff and your students can explore a wide variety of activities, exercises explorations and themes to learning about themselves. The programmes are  structuring in a progressively way for them to:

  • relaxed and peaceful

  • be present at what you are doing

  • improve your process of learning

  • enhance concentration, focus and pay attention

  • become aware and understand body-mind's connection

  • develop a sense of how better to collaborate with others

  • develop awareness of the different levels of consciousness

  • reduce stress, anxiety and release negativity and depression

  • refine your senses and develop self-sensory kinesthetic acuity

  • become aware of your body that you might have taken for granted

  • develop self-respect, responsibility, trust, self-confidence, patience

  • become aware of breathing patterns and using breathing to shift the state of your mind

  • become aware of your emotions, especially the self-destructive emotion, and be able to observe your emotional field

  • take your attention deeper into yourself to have a clear sense of who you are, your value, your purpose and worthiness

  • develop awareness of the physical structure, and its interaction with gravity, so as to be able to more effective use yourselves

Reviews from schools, parents, clubs & students

There are a number of factors to be confident about before you engage anyone from outside your own staff. A critical one of these factors is reassurance that what is being offered is effective, professional and good value.  Please take a minute to look at reviews of my work from some of the schools, parents and students I have worked with.

"Uyên is such a lovely, generous, patient teacher who is full of smiles! She ran a yoga and mindfulness class for a group of our school students and she was able to keep everyone engaged and feeling incredibly relaxed afterwards. I would absolutely recommend her child and teen yoga classes."
