
Uyen Vu
Uyen is an inspired teacher of perceptual and movement inquiry, a heart-soul councillor and a researcher. The practices that Uyen is sharing opening vital new ways of perceiving creative imagination, and a deep capacity for presence, resonance, and love. Her passion is to help people who are children & young adults, adults and seniors become healthier and happier people with less physical and psychological suffering and crisis. Over the last 27 years, Uyen has been exploring both Western and Eastern understanding of anatomy, embryo, development foundations of movement and its relationship to a person psychophysical process and their well-being.
Uyen is passionate and very interested in the development process of a person not only physical aspects but also in the psychological & culture development growth. She is also very interested in energy flow, electro-magnetic field, mycelium, dissection, perception, psychology & mythology, and consciousness. Uyen is also studying, practising other ancient practices related to deepening direct experiences and perceptions that contribute to the well-being of the wholeness of a person. Uyen includes ancient, modern and relevant techniques with her particular skills in trauma, anxiety, chronic stress & pain, restlessness, heart-wounding, sensation, movement, breath and sleep for children & young adults, adults & seniors. She has been working with people who have complex needs, Autism, ADHD spectrum disorder diagnoses and early life fears and traumas. Sessions can be tailored to the needs of a group or an individual.
Uyen's approach is helping you to learn in a way that almost feels effortless in an environment which is comfortable, happy and starting from the point where you are. She is sharing her daily practice that allows you to enter more deeply into the fullness of yourself, having a deep sense of connection with nature, grounded and stability, opening the heart to the greater capacity, finding your uniqueness, purpose, creative, be fully present, resilience, clarity and peace in yourself so that you can move through your life with greater ease, confidence and full of vital energy and find joy & happiness at whatever age you are. The practice also helps to improve your strength, mobility in movement, better breathing, posture, find your purposes and feel your wholeness again.
We create an environment where you feel safe, friendly, cared for and supported so that you can focus 100% on your practice. Classes/courses at the studio in Ascot are for small groups only (maximum 8 people) or private sessions.
Uyen is fully insured and trained in Vietnam for 27 years ago and in the UK for the last 8 years. In Vietnam, she practiced Ananda Marga Yoga – connecting heart-mind-body – with Mrs. Khanh Kakyani & Mrs. Cuu Karuna and Uyen still frequent receives support from these two amazing teachers. Uyen has practiced Mindfulness Meditation (Mindful living) through the teachings of Thay Thich Nhat Hanh since she was very young in Vietnam and carried on her dive deeply into consciousness with the teaching from Jiddu Krishnamurti.
Uyen trained with Sam Rao in the UK to teach yoga & meditation to adults and also took a course specialising in yoga for children with Yoga Bananas. Uyen trained with Charlotta Martinus - founder of Teen Yoga UK to teach Yoga & Mindfulness to young aduts. Uyen is also an independence Mindfulness teacher class-room based (Present Moment Awareness practice), having trained with Mindfulness in schools project (Misp) to deliver Mindfulness courses for children and young adults who are 6 to 18 years old across UK. She is also a member of Mindfuless in schools Project (Misp).
Uyen is on her ongoing studying with the teachings of Susan Harper (Continuum Montage), Bonnie Bainbridge Cohen (Body-Mind Centering), Michael Meade (Mythologist), Gil Hedley (Dissector) and her clients to open up a natural way of addressing one's health, vitality and possibilities.
Uyen is fully insured, having an enhanced DBS check, child protection and safeguarding trained, mental health first aid trained. Uyen is also a qualified, dedicated and passionate educator. She is a Senior Yoga & Meditation Teacher at Yoga Alliance Professionals UK and has shared her practices and worked with people from 7 to 93+ years old who faced/ are facing many different challenges in their psyche as well as physicality. Uyen teaches Yoga Meditation & Mindfulness at local schools and companies in Ascot, Sunningdale, Bracknell and surroundings as well as in her studio in Ascot and online.
