We carry so much in our bodies and minds—joy and pain, peace and anxiety, beauty and struggle—the full range of the pleasurable and the difficult, the awesome and the awful. All of it is part of us. And yet, each of us holds a powerful capacity to heal, to return to wholeness.

How can we:

  • Be present and at peace

  • Live and move without pain

  • Feel more grounded and resilient

  • Reconnect with joy and your inner spark

  • Ease stress, anxiety, and depression

  • Heal from trauma and emotional pain

  • Live more authentically and confidently

  • Slow racing thoughts and calm the mind

  • Embrace your emotions with compassion

  • Tap into the quiet strength within you

  • Improve your relationship with yourself and others

What kind of process can help us move from stress, confusion, or pain into clarity, calm, and connection?

How do we return to ourselves—whole, rooted, and free?

The heart of Uyên's teaching

"Learning about ourselves is basic to learning all else!"

Hi, I'm Uyên Vu. From a very young age in Viet Nam, where I was born and raised, I've had many questions about what lies beneath a person's appearance, actions, job, words, clothing, hair, and so on—what it is that truly drives a person's life. Is there something deeper beneath these surface layers of who we are? Why are we suffering? What is it that brought us so close, yet kept us so far apart? What if we could relate to each other from a deeper place—a place of presence, authenticity, acceptance of who we truly are, and peace? And if there's suffering, what can be done to bring about positive change? I want peace for everyone.

These inquiries are at the heart of what has motivated me for over three decades and will be for the rest of my life. The whole entire of my working life has been centered around—and deeply inspired by—somatic embodiment mindfulness yoga meditation practices, and the search for truth.  I’m also a joyful student of Aikido and Zumba! 😊

Uyen Somatic Embodiment Mindfulness Yoga Meditation is a practice of fully arriving in the present moment—reconnect your body and mind, staying grounded, sensing, and being conscious of what you are doing, and transitioning from thinking to awareness.

It is a unique blend of ancient practices, Eastern and Western wisdom, that support health and well-being through attention, concentration, awareness, and presence. It is drawing from yoga meditation, neuroscience, developmental psychology, body-based awareness, and ancient healing traditions. It is designed to help you find a natural balance between doing and being. Through this practice, you are invited to recover and rediscover the vibrancy of life within you—the essence of who you truly are - and transform the stress, anxiety, depression, negativity and trauma.

Discovery, understanding, exploration, attention, realization, nurturing, and personal growth are at the heart of our approach. It’s suitable for everyone—regardless of age or life stage - to reconnect with your inner wholeness and find freedom from unconscious patterns that create stress, anxiety, depression, mental-emotional struggle and disconnection.

Together, we work directly with your physical body, emotions, thoughts, and state of mind—meeting you exactly where you are. The goal is to support your physical health, emotional balance, mental clarity, and spiritual growth. Even small lifestyle changes can make a big difference in your overall well-being.

Each class is thoughtfully structured to support your safety, success, growth, and well-being. I offer a gentle, inclusive, protected and therapeutic space where you can explore a range of mindful practices—each designed to help you connect more deeply with yourself.

Though we can’t change the past, we can learn to be fully present, grounded, and open to life again. I’m here to guide you as you explore your inner world and awaken the deep healing potential already inside you. Come join me on this journey of discovery and transformation. I’ll be with you every step of the way.

Uyên's Approach

There is a neurological loop between our posture—the way we hold ourselves, how we move, and how we do things—and our mind, including our thoughts, emotions, and feelings. The way we live today often puts us in a state of constant stress, anxiety, fear, hurry, and more. Many of us may have become familiar with these states from a very young age.

When we’re stressed, anxious, depressed, under pressure, upset, angry, or sad, our body reflects it: we feel tight; our head leans forward, shoulders hunch up, jaw clenches, face and hands tense, and coordination between different parts of the body is lost. Our mind feels clouded, and our breath becomes shallow—or even seems to disappear. When this state continues over a long period, it restricts our movement and breathing, clouds our thinking, and leaves us feeling unwell—physically and mentally tense, in pain, and often facing various health issues.

Fortunately, you, me, all of us—we have an incredible brain and a powerful nervous system that is always on our side, constantly seeking to optimize our health and life. Our brain learns through doing. It not only forms habits but can also learn new ways to override unhealthy patterns. This is the gift of neuroplasticity.

At the same time, we did not create our bodies, nor can we consciously control all of the body vital functions. There is an intelligence at work within us—greater than the thinking mind—the same intelligence that sustains all of nature. A human being is not merely the result of cell division. We are living organisms, dynamic and ever-evolving. From the very beginning, we have been shaped by this inner intelligence—constantly renewing, growing, and rising up against falling apart. This is the aliveness you can feel within—the animating presence that breathes life into the body. We are elemental beings, and this intelligence is the very essence of who we are..

Each lesson I create is thoughtfully designed for you, grounded in an understanding of the brain’s capacity for neuroplasticity, the mind’s activity and patterns, the aliveness flowing through your blood and bones, and my sincere interest in your well-being. Regardless of your age—whether you're 3 or over 97—or your current life circumstances, you can always improve how you move, how you feel, and how you relate to others through experience, bodily awareness, and mindful attention to your inner self.

When we live with something every day—like our own body—our mind tend to take it for granted. Each lesson is an invitation to return to your body, reconnect with your true self, and bring mindful awareness into your daily life. Our lessons focus on:
